Interested in Laser for Permanent Hair Reduction? Get started by scheduling a free Laser Consultation.

Consultations are designed to orient newcomers to Laser Hair Reduction. During your consultation, we will:

  • Ask you to fill out a client information sheet and consent form
  • Discuss risks and benefits of treatment
  • Share important information about pre- and post-Laser skin care
  • Assess the suitability of your hair and skin for Laser treatments
  • Assure that you have no circumstances that would make Laser unsafe, e.g., recent tanning, Accutane use, etc.
  • Perform a test treatment to see how your skin reacts to Laser.

We ask you to schedule a consultation visit with Suzi Spinner, Director of Queen Anne Medical Electrolyis & Laser,  even if you've had many treatments before. This time will give us a chance to meet you and put together an individual treatment plan. We can then schedule your first appointment within a few days after your consultation, just to be sure your skin reacted favorably.

What is Laser?

Laser is FDA cleared for permanent hair reduction. Our Vectus Laser has two Laser attachments - one large, one small. Positioning the Laser attachment on the skin, Laser light (single wave length) is then released into the skin - targeting the melanin (pigment) in the hair follicles. It is most effective on brown or black hair. The Vectus Laser is very rapid, and can theoretically treat the entire body in one to two hours. (It takes us longer, because we apply skin moisturizing lotion as we go.) Virtually any area of the body can be treated with Laser Hair Reduction.

Your Comfort

For many people, Laser is accomplished with minimal - if any - discomfort. But others do experience pain, particularly when we are working in sensitive areas. Numbing gel can be used in any area commonly undergoing Laser, and we can offer strong prescription strength gel applied in our office 30-60 minutes prior to your treatment at no additional charge. (Naturally, you may not use this if you are allergic to Lidocaine or other components of the gel.) Or for a small fee, a dental block or injections for pain may be administered to minimize discomfort.

If needed - and there are no medical contraindications - oral pain and/or anxiety medications can be prescribed. It is essential that you have a driver for a safe drive home.

What About Cost?

Laser treatments range from $100 to $1200 per session - depending on the area(s) you wish to have treated. Most clients require 6 treatments for maximal clearing. We are happy to announce we are now offering a Laser Package: six treatments for the price of five! Your best value is a Full Body treatment, which includes the entire body with the exception of the genital area. Note that we do do genital laser, including preparation for Gender Affirming surgery. You will learn the cost required to meet your personal hair reduction goals when you come for a free Laser Consultation. Call Suzi Spinner, Program Director, to set up your Laser Consultation at (206)281-7163, ext 15, or on her mobile number (206)450-5822.

Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, and major credit/debit cards. If you believe your health insurance may cover laser hair reduction, we will give you a receipt for you to submit to the insurance company. You may want to ask about CareCredit at your consultation.
