Call (206) 281-7163, and follow the instructions on the recorded message carefully. The On-Call Provider will be paged. Again, DO NOT LEAVE URGENT MESSAGES ON THE VOICE MAIL AS THEY ARE RETRIEVED ONLY DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS.
If, for any reason, you are not able to contact us through our after-hours telephone service, please go to the emergency room of your choice.
We do not refill routine prescriptions or provide prescriptions for narcotics, or similarly classified medications after hours.
Please note: In some situations, you may be billed for after-hours telephone consultations. Examples include telephone consultations which save a client the much higher cost of an emergency room visit, i.e. bladder infections – or a call which necessarily requires more time.
These days, most hospitalized patients are cared for by a “Hospitalist Team.” These are doctors employed by the hospital who are present around the clock. The Hospitalist Team is in contact with your care providers at Queen Anne Medical Associates. In some circumstances, a patient will be admitted by a specific specialist physician, or a surgery team. Because we are in communication with the in-hospital physicians, you may receive your hospital care wherever you desire, or wherever your insurance plan dictates.
