What is a Nurse Practitioner?

Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners are Master’s level Registered Nurses who have gone through special training in the evaluation and treatment of patients. Our practitioners are able to prescribe medications, make appropriate referrals, and provide most of the services provided by our physician, although Dr. Gromko serves as their direct consultant.

In family practice, Nurse Practitioners provide first-line care for patients and families in all states of health and illness and in all stages of life.
